I have won the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award (Powered by National Book of Records)

Yashika Prabhakar is a young award-winning author and social activist who is working for the welfare of the society and of young children for their education. She has won the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award under the category “India’s Top 10 Authors’ powered by National Book of Records. ‘Ishq Da Kalma-Tu Hi Tu’ is her first book which has won the title ‘Top 30 Books to lookout for in 2022’ by Majesty Booker Awards. She had volunteered as a Youth Coordinator with the Delhi Government’s ‘Desh Ke Mentor’ Program (a Career building initiative for young adults) since its pilot phase under Ms. Atishi Singh, Education Minister of Delhi. She is also an active volunteer in the School Management Committee of Delhi. She did her schooling from Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, New Delhi where she was very active in Social Work and used to develop empathy amongst adolescents by conducting visits to Old Age Homes and Disabled Homes. She was also the Peer Head of ‘Each One, Teach One’ Initiative where senior school students used to teach basic skills to primary school children. She is presently pursuing her final year Bachelor’s Degree in English Honours from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Delhi along with working on the Ground Level for society’s welfare in terms of education and awareness.

She is currently working as a Lead Coordinator,
